Stunning, handmade pottery pieces created by Maria Stefanescu in her studio in Horezu, Romania. Stefanescu expertly blends traditional and modern Romanian aesthetics into one-of-a-kind pieces of ceramic art. The clay and glaze colors come from the surrounding hills and are extracted and processed by a local cooperative of artisans. The Horezu pottery tradition was formally recognized by UNESCO in 2012 for its importance to Romanian cultural heritage.
