  • Designed in London
  • 100% Wool
  • Hand Loom. Handmade in India

The Oare rug is a technically complex design achieved in 12 harmonious colours in a geometric progression. Chromatically vibrant, in blues, coral and green, with a broad tonal range. The orthogonal linearity, narrow or broad, and regular or varying, makes for visual depth.

Our Hand Loom rugs are traditionally woven on a horizontal loom and are hand woven using a warp faced technique similar to that of velvet weaving. There are two warp beams of colour which are interlaced in the weaving to bring the colour to the surface, the yarns create a loop which is cut to create a soft pile finish.

Please note: Due to the handmade nature of our rugs, slight variations in size may occur, with a 5% tolerance.

We advise customers purchase our Rug Underlay to prevent their rug from creasing and slipping, whether it is placed on a carpet or a hard surface.

An underlay also increases the longevity of a rug by cushioning it. It protects against transference of dark colours or fibres from the back of the rug onto light coloured flooring or carpet underneath.

All of our rugs and underlay are suitable for underfloor heating.

Care:

Vacuum frequently with suction only; rotating brushes may cause damage. As our rugs are made using natural fibres, shedding is to be expected. This will reduce over time, and should not have an impact on the lifespan or performance of your rug.

Immediately blot spills with a clean cloth, do not rub, soak up the liquid using absorbent cloth (e.g kitchen paper, or a towel).

Do not rub a stain. Dilute the stain using a small quantity of warm water, soak up, repeat and allow to dry. Remove any remainders using a white cloth. Dampen with a mixture of warm water and a little ph neutral washing up liquid. For stubborn stains, seek advice from a professional rug cleaner.
